Could I please ask that you desist from using bad language in the titles of your blog please. These can be seen by all and sundry on the home page. What you put inside your blog is entirely up to you and needs to be accessed to be read but your title not so.

why are they lifting sanctions? the whole poit is to bring mugabe to his knees so he sees sense. there is no point in paying for land reformsw that arent happening. maybe the african leaders are hoping he dies soon although he really is a fit man. when it comes to taking drastic but necessary action, african leaders are always wet blankets!

Such needless sacrifises. I hope Mugabe will sure one day face his day in court and have his palaces sold and the money plouged back into hospitals, schools etc.. Maybe l am an idealist. Although I support the MDC- to be honest l will support anyone with new ideas, i am sceptical whether the opposition leadership has the same desease as all the other african leaders. We have seem happen again and again in Africa with the exception of South Africa to a certain extend.

But the comforting thing is, nothing is forever!

Freedom is not cheap.We went through the same.We lived in whispers and couldnot discuss any dissenting views on our country and president then.We were brainwashed into thinking that our wall were silent transmitters to the ears of the then presisdent of our bedroom discussions.We were totally imprisoned and could not see change in sight.It got worse by the day and many more living beings melted into the uknown.I have no idea how many crocodiles sumptiously fed on our loved ones.Remember when night has reached its peak of darkness,dawn crawls in willingly or unwillingly.Your country is approching this moment of freedom.Iam looking forward to when I will say with you one day,Kwacha..meaning its day light!

I like your approach to all this.Use your Italian to tell the world what you thing of the great zimbabwe.The press this morning in my country has talked about 100000 zimbabweans that have come into my country in the last few months.they have come to stay..i suppose.However,as a brother you need to offer a shoulder for people to cry on.I like your courage.Sound the trumpet.You never know how you will impact,construction of a house beings by one single brick and then an imposing structure graces the sky.We are with you.We need a free zimbabwe.

i agree, the AU and SADC are not answerable to anyone and NOT accountable. Also the so called African leaders are not better than Mugabe themselves so do not want to rock the boat or shoot themselves in the foot. They know that they will probably treat their opposers in the same way it is an embarrasing situation... for all of us zims

I am angry.I feel the Zimbabweans need to have a break from the current chaos that is threatening the whole of southern africa.We have two continental bodies that are as useless you would want to define them.AU and SADC.A shame to Southern Africa.They are busy sipping coffee as the comrade is busy castrating his opponents in an orthodox fashion.Come on you purposeless bodies,aid the suffering innocent masses in southern rhodesia.Thanks criney.We are with you.

Interesting you should say that, l had that feeling at my first MDC meeting last night. However, the Zim vigil does send a message back home to Zim, just the fact that there is some action going on does send a message even to the few tourist who may not have neccesarily been informed of the Zim crisis. Unfortunatley there is always people with agendas. The sentiment is valid nevertheless.

ive been to one of the saturday gatherings outside the embassy. I stopped and joined in after work one saturday. I am not sure what difference that makes though. some of the people there seemed to be more interested in raising their own profiles or chanting slaogans meaniglessly than actually making a difference. what's your opinion on that?
